Money
Proposed (not decided): keep each currency's main unit (eg the dollar) at its current value, and divide it into 100; (144 dec) parts instead of 100 (dec) cents. One part ≈ 0.69 c.
- No currency needs revaluing: $1 stays $1, and only the small change is new
- Halves, thirds, quarters, sixths, eighths and ninths of a dollar are whole numbers of parts: a third is $0;40, a quarter $0;30, an eighth $0;16
- Fifths and tenths aren't (20 c = $0;2497...), so prices would be set to round dozenal values, as with any changeover (see Speed limits and changeover)
- The cent is from Latin centum (100). Name for the 1/100; part: to be decided
